What Stuttering Means to Me?

Stuttering is just like another form of talking. Some people talk fast, some people talk slowly, others are confident, some others are jittery.

There is no shame to stuttering. It is just me. In fact, I’m blessed with other gifts such as being a sensitive person who can sense for other people’s feelings.

Stuttering is another way of life.

Perhaps, some people encourage me to see from another perspective: preference of topic to discuss about, preference of people to talk with.

I have learnt to see from another angle: I have to work hard to be fluent (even successful speakers spent hours practising in front of the mirrors.) Winston Churchill, who was a stutterer, put in 1 hour of reading and editing of his script for every 1 minute of speech he was going to deliver.

The battle moves on with one mindset that I possess: I will Never give up!!!
