Stuttering has always been a myth in my own opinion. Sometimes, some people stutter outside while others only stutter when talking to certain groups of people.
For me, I stutter only when I am anticipating when is the next time I stutter.
So, today I want to talk about mindset.
There is a mindset to positive thinking - telling myself that I won’t stutter.
There is also another side of our mind - the negative mind, which reminds us of our weaknesses and things we are poor at.
We are all victims of our own mind, isn’t it.

Many times we just can’t help it but stutter just because our mind tells us to do so.
And I am speaking on behalf of myself, a very mild stutterer and the many stutterers out there who live their daily life in nightmares.
I am speaking the truth. Stutterers wonder when if today they will stutter like any other day or today is the day they will be “cured” of stuttering.
I admit that I have my fair share of living in my darkest days, avoiding every single opportunity to talk, even to my best buddies, for fear of appearing like a fool and trying hard to say every word and mouth it to perfection.
Simply, it means to pretend not to stutter so as not to be embarrassed.
It is not easy to change a mindset and admit that it is ok to stumble over a few words between sentences.
Even the best speakers stutter sometimes during their day-to-day conversation because they could be at a loss of words, thinking during that time, tired, excited, anxious or something else.
The reasons for someone to stutter is endless and it could the same for you, even for you on different days.
Sometimes, you may be too tired and not in the mood of talking or sometimes, you are very excited over something that had happened.
See, it is all about the mind and it is the mind where we will first take the first step to brave our challenges.
